Scholarships are an essential to our commitment to improve health, elevate hope and advance healing – for all. Our scholarships help to make education affordable for students, giving them access to new opportunities that can change their lives.
Scholarships also give our donors the opportunity to affect the lives of local students positively and directly.
OurTown Endowed Healthcare Scholarship
Deadline: April 15
In honor of Dairy Queen of Gray owner and operator, Mr. Justin Kelly, for his dedication and commitment to pediatric healthcare through his fundraising efforts for Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, the OurTown Endowed Healthcare Scholarship has been established. This scholarship is for a current senior at Jones County High School in Gray, Georgia, pursuing a career in healthcare or a healthcare related field. Preference is given to applicants who participate in school or community sponsored philanthropy with a special emphasis placed on applicants who take on leadership roles.

Samuel M. Goodrich Scholarship
Deadline: June 1
Established to honor the dedication of Milledgeville physician, Dr. Samuel M. Goodrich, this scholarship is for students enrolled in a healthcare related field of study who have completed a minimum of two years of an undergraduate program or students who have been accepted into a graduate program. Preference is given to current or former Baldwin County, Georgia residents.

Walter T. Watkins Scholarship
Deadline: June 1
Established by Dr. John P. and Wanda W. Atkinson, in memory of Wanda’s brother, The Walter T. Watkins Memorial Scholarship is an opportunity for employees of Carlyle Place to improve their post educational background.
